Thank You
More Back ground
BarCamp Nairobi and WhereCampAfrica have been combined into a single event! The summary of what Bar Camp is can
be read below. But for those of you who know what it is, we have just over a month to get the iLAB and iHUB packed with 500 hundred (you read that right!) people for two days.
BarCamp Nairobi is on Saturday June 12th & Sunday June 13th in Nairobi Kenya.
“BarCamp is an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense event with discussions, demos, and interaction from attendees.”
There are many folks behind BarCamp Nairobi, and you can get involved too. Look at the BarCamp 2008 wiki and see who was in the previous one here. And if you can see pictures and blogs of the last two WhereCamps here. A planning meeting was held at the iLAB recently with Phares Kaboro, Tonee Ndungu, Jubal Harpster and Kellie Murungi to run through the specifics of the event. A few new ideas were thrown on the table. You want to share your opinion on them? We’d definitely appreciate it.
This event is still seeking sponsors. If you or your company wants some massive exposure in the African tech sector than this is the place to be.
